Polish week 1


In this devlog we will tell you what we did for the first week of polish!

Quite some things have improved:

We updated the fog particle because there was some weird intersecting lines going on. The fog now looks way more realistic. On top of that we added an animation for the cage so it actually opens when monkeys get released. The catcher can now hold the monkey when he catches him and will also have a die animation when running out of oxygen. The lab got some dirt applied to it to get a more realistic environment. The monkey also got a new animation for in the cage so he stays alive.


We still had 2 bugs in our game, 1 spawn bug and 1 leaderboard bug. Those are both fixed now.

We implemented some particles that follow the player and we also implemented a particle system for the teleporter.


We created and implemented a death animation for the catcher when he runs out of oxygen.


We now show the "Pull" button when the runner is close to the lever of the cage.


We created and implemented new UI icons.


We created and implemented a shield particle effect.


Next week we are going to add more particles, effects and animations in order to finish our game!
