Production week 6
Welcome to the devlog of our final production week!
This week we added some more particles to get more feedback from the game. The cage got a lightning effect that will be disabled when monkeys get freed. The monkeys also get some sort of respawn effect when released from the cage.
Also we added some sort of spark when you hit something. This effect is changed for the oxygentank. It is bigger, has a greener color and is tweaked to fit the tank better.
More effects added! For the teleport, it was important to make it visible from distance for players to use it. The second particle is a shield for the monkeys.
On the programming side we tried to fix a lot of bugs we had this week. Most of them are resolved but there are some very special cases which are hard to reproduce.
We changed the way you catch as the catcher. You now use the second stick to choose between 3 stances: left, right and up.
The runner also got a taunt.
We created most of the layouts for the menus and we also completely revamped the leaderboard!

Leaderboard: On the leaderboard you see the total scores of the players and you can also see how much their scores have increased since last time.
Next week we will start polishing our game!
